On the way to the March Against Hate yesterday, my friend Brian and I
realized we were starving balls. There was no particular reason we
stopped at this McDonald's other than that it was on the way. And I was
craving--simply craving--some McNuggets.
It took 20 minutes to
finally get to the window. We spent that time bitching at everyone ahead
of us to place their order already and move along. "It's not a
complicated menu!" "You should already know what you want!" "Oh my God,
what is wrong with you people?!"
And I love that once it was our turn, my friend said "Uhhh...Give me a sec." Hypocrite!
I leaned over and said in my best Mira Sorvino: "Do you have a businesswomen's special?
Employee: A what?
Me: You know, like a lunch....for businesswomen?
And right on cue Brian says:
"We're due in Tucson. You know, for a business thing."
Employee: Huh?
Me: Can we just get a No. 1 with a Diet Coke and a 10-piece nugget to go then?
OK, so we had our giggles and we were probably way more amused with that than we should have been.
The
employee at the window didn't look a day over 13, and he promptly
handed me a Happy Meal Diet Coke. I know I've been using a new
anti-aging cream but does it look like I'm old enough to want a Happy
Meal? He also couldn't seem to master the skill of putting Diet Coke in a
cup. I think the machine was malfunctioning. His manager came over to
help and she smiled politely.
We finally got our food and I
devoured it in the car. I suppose Big Macs and McNuggets can sometimes
only truly be appreciated during a massive hangover. I'm lovin' it.

I'm in the bathroom at this McDonalds right now.
There's no toliet paper in here.
Somebody bring me toliet paper. Also, my nuggets are on the table. Please don't touch them.

I have a favorite McDonald's (clearly I need to make some changes in my life...). Anyway, this is my preferred McDonald's because the value meal prices are on average 50 cents cheaper than the next nearest location and my chicken nuggets and french fries are always cooked to perfection. If you've ever had an overcooked nugget, you'll understand the importance of this. Finally, unlike a number of other locations, I can generally eat my lunch in peace without someone coming up to me and bothering me for one reason or another (like a toddler stealing my chicken nuggets or a man bowing to me and calling me the queen-- both true stories).
Place smells a bit and could use a good wipe down. Ordering was quick. Fries were very yummy; more crisper than other McDs.
It's close to where I had to work so it was very convenient to stroll here for lunch.

I was initially unsure on how to rate this McDonald's. First, I thought the service was very good. I used a coupon that I got in the mail for a $1.00 Filet-O-Fish and I used a Valentine's Day certificate for a free small ice cream cone. The manager did not even bat an eye when I used them together. I thought that was great. She got my food incredibly fast.
On the other hand, while I was waiting for my food, another customer came up to the counter and complained about his food. He showed the manager that one of his McNuggets was raw. I saw it, and it was definitely pink in the middle. He was very upset and asked for his money back. The manager was apologetic, but I think they could have been more apologetic. They gave his money back to him, and he left. I felt they should have done more because that mistake is a very big deal.
So I give this place 2 stars. Raw fast food is a big deal!

Despite not having a happy meal, I don't think that I could have been more pleased with my walk down memory lane with my cheeseburger. Beef patty with cheese, pickles, ketchup, and onions! It's not that great, and yet it is.....so hard to describe that nostalgic feeling.
Also I had the MCRIB last night !!!! I haven't had one of these since they first came out with the Flintstones movie in the 90's. I rather enjoyed it, but perhaps it was the particular store, but there was too much onion in my sandwich and too little sauce. Aside from that, I shall be having another McRib before they retire them for another decade or whatever. Hurry up and get your McRib, they're only in stores this year for 6 weeks.
This used to be a good McDonalds. I know that because of how busy they are, they don't have time to smile. But the sheer rudeness and lack of communication was ridiculous. Maybe if the food was top notch (by McDonald's standards, at least), but it was luke warm with not at all crisp fries or nuggets. It's a shame about the single arched closing...

This McD location was the most generous of them all when it came down to handing out the free McCafe iced Mocha during the Summer. I recall people charging at the employees and walking away with two hands full. Needless to say I was one of those TYVM. BTW, I said no whipped cream, spammit! Fine, I'll add a star for that kickass promotion.
Let me see..5 McNuggets for $1 or 20 for over $5. Hrmm..tough call. Now why would they think you can't do math, especially when you are by Wall St? *boggle*
Their fish fillet here is awful - it's nuked and tastes like rubber afterwards. I hear their Angus burger is decent though.
Do people really write reviews of McDonalds'? Well, this one has a piano so on occasion, this is a live music venue. The food is generally served minutes after ordered which must mean it is all very fresh due to the fact that inventory moves so quickly. The staff here wear brets - clearly influenced by the French as evidenced by their French Fries. I often notice that McDonald's employees from other branches come here to order lunch so clearly, this location is superior to others.
