HAHA! You know, if I were rating on comedy, this McDonalds would be a 4 star but for customer service, it translates to 2 stars on Yelp! This McDonalds is conveniently located on Canal street adjacent to Bourbon St. That's probably all it has going for it. As I walk in the store, I already feel unsafe. The lady at the cash register takes my order and suddenly she just utters Powerade. I am like what are you talking about? She was just mumbling CO2, CO2.....then I had to ask her again.......what are you asking me? She said the carbonation was out and the people behind me even understood that. HAHA! It helps to speak in complete sentences. It helps comprehension. I ordered a Big Mac combo with no salt on the fries. Of course they forgot the no salt on the fries. OMG. The lady at the cash register told the fries lady, told you so. LOL. I felt like I walked into a dysfunctional family restaurant. Also, some one asked for no cheese on their burger but the guy making the sandwiches was raising hell to the cash register lady. I feel these employees are probably not communicating to each other. I bet the guy assembling the sandwiches probably did something to that person's sandwich. Let's just say I was entertained....but I was looking forward to a refreshing Coke. Instead I got a diluted Powerade that tastes like water.

For a Valentines Day treat to me - I stopped by for a cheeseburger Happy Meal - that made for a happy me - I love McDonald's - not on the diet, but the the heck - it was just what I needed and made me think I should start treating my little girl to a happy meal maybe once a month

The cheese burgers are good. The quarter lbs burgers are okay! They taste different kinda chewy? Drive a couple miles down the road to the McDonald's on argyle, the burgers taste so much better! I avoid this McDonald's after having the cheddar Swiss burger from both locations. Each time I think it will be different this time and taste just as good as the one on argyle, never! After three attempts no more. Not going to lie, I like a double cheeseburger every now and then. I do end up immediately having buyers remorse soon as i am done eating. My son like most kids like this place. This location is an "extra fancy" location with granite counter tops, flat panel TVs, a kids room with their own flat panel, wifi and well decorated. The staff is very friendly, but ultimately it is still a McDonalds. I am giving it 2 stars instead of one due to the well decorated interior.

Despite not having a happy meal, I don't think that I could have been more pleased with my walk down memory lane with my cheeseburger. Beef patty with cheese, pickles, ketchup, and onions! It's not that great, and yet it is.....so hard to describe that nostalgic feeling. Also I had the MCRIB last night !!!! I haven't had one of these since they first came out with the Flintstones movie in the 90's. I rather enjoyed it, but perhaps it was the particular store, but there was too much onion in my sandwich and too little sauce. Aside from that, I shall be having another McRib before they retire them for another decade or whatever. Hurry up and get your McRib, they're only in stores this year for 6 weeks. This used to be a good McDonalds. I know that because of how busy they are, they don't have time to smile. But the sheer rudeness and lack of communication was ridiculous. Maybe if the food was top notch (by McDonald's standards, at least), but it was luke warm with not at all crisp fries or nuggets. It's a shame about the single arched closing...

Decent place. I just stopped in for a quick bite. The order taker (appeared to be a manager) didn't seem thrilled when he took my order but at least he thanked me and wished me a Happy Thanksgiving. I just had a cheeseburger, fries and bottle of water. The food is what you would expect from a McDonald's. Thin piece of meat on the burger, lots of bun. Good ketchup/mustard flavor with the pickles. Fries were good also and evenly salted.

How awesome is this? I'm the first person to review the McDonald's in Kahului, Maui. My family moved to Maui in 1968 and I remember hamburgers being 25 cents when Maui basically had two fast food restaurants on the whole island . . . McDonalds and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Thank you McDonald's for all those years of happiness . . . from seeing me transition from hamburgers to cheeseburgers and even growing up to big kid level with my first Big Mac. You saved my undeveloped tastebuds from poi and squid and prevented that little white kid from starving to death. Here's to you McDonald's -- I raise my glass to you old friend. Aloha to you and a big hang loose to the hamburglar and grimace

I'm not 100% sure this is the exact location of the McD's that we've been to many times - all I know is we stopped there on our way to our hotel from the airport b/c we were starving...and although I eat McD's only about once a year, it was my only immediate alternative to chewing my arm off. Holy COW. (no pun actually intended...) Best McDonald's cheeseburger ever!! But, I was ravenous, so I took the experience w/ a grain of salt (& ketchup). .....on the way back to the airport, we decided to try it again - see if lightning would strike twice - no way McDonald's could end up being one of our favorite meals of the trip! 2nd time: YUM! The bread was perfect - the meat & cheese so juicy & flavorful. It was downright weird. 2nd trip to the island - stuck with our new tradition & pulled over for some cheeseburgers. DING DING DING!!! They blew us away again. And again on the way back to the airport. This is now my 3rd trip to Maui - leaving this Friday...& I'm proud to admit that I'm looking SO forward to McDonalds.

took my 6 year old here for a quick bite to eat, of course she ordered a cheeseburger kids meal. when we got it she got right into it and half way through it I asked her how the cheeseburger was and she said "the cheese is good!" yea, it should as there was no meat patty inside! Needless to say it was fixed quickly.

Cold mushy fries, broken soda dispenser, and nasty burgers in a dead strip mall with a playplace full of screaming kids. I ordered the fries "very hot" and got ice cold fries with some marketing line about "made fresh this morning" (AT 3PM!) when I complained and offered more cold fries out of the same pile.. I like most McDonalds, but this particular store is very poorly managed.
