San Diego, CA
Ok, this is after all McDonalds - fried, cheap, fast food and questionable ingredients. I swear if it was not for the smurfs; I would not set foot in this place. However, I did and well...It was yucky. Dirty, tables, cashier had an attitude when I inquired about a happy meal toy. I kept thinking to myself: "Yes, I am in my 30's and about to order a happy meal - get over it, its thanks to fools like me, YOU have this minimum wage job." Cashier gave little eye contact after rolling them upon me asking if PAPA SMURF was in yet. Oh come on, papa smurf!!! Anyway, I got my greasy chicken nuggets and greasy fries and a grumpy smurf to go with the employee's demeanor but no papa smurf. The tables were dirty, the floor had scuff marks all over it. It seems homeless people raise shopping carts inside this McDonalds, where the hell are the scuff marks coming from? eew. Tiny parking lot and those who let children in that filthy play area should be questioned by CPS. *The End*

The freaks sure do come out at night!
As Busta would say, I respect my conglomerate, but this particular location attracts an unnerving amount of crazies once the sun goes down.
Came here with my boyfriend and our friend for quick food before we went out for the night around 9:30PM. There wasn't much happening or so we thought, until my friend got Hi-C Orange all down her back. Turns out the couple behind us was having a lover's quarrel and resorted to the old middle-school habit of a FOOOOOOD FIIIIGHHHTTTT !!! Half eaten chicken nuggets and McDoubles strewn about, but don't worry, the homeless guy lurking in the corner crept out to pick on their leftovers once they got kicked out...
On the several other occasions I've gone here, it's usually just packed with the 20-30 Y.Os who you avoided at the bar earlier in the night but they happen to still "be in the neighborhood." Your best bet is to take your food and run. The food is your typical McD's fare, but it's kinda lame they eliminate like half the menu (most notably the dollar menu) at night- I guess it's because everyone who pops in is to wasted too care!

New York, NY
What can I say? Sometimes you're just in the mood for some McDonalds chicken nuggets and fries, or the excellent sausage biscuit if you can wake yourself up early enough in the morning. One great advantage to this location is that it's open 24 hours, so it makes a perfect stop at the end of a night of partying. Do be warned that there can actually be a decently long line on weekends, beginning around 2:00 AM to 4:00 AM, more a function of sloooow service though, although I'm sure it doesn't make sense to keep the restaurant fully staffed just to meet the 2:00 AM drunk rush. Inside, you'll find you're typical 80's / 90's pastel pink and turquoise MCDonald's with a weird fusion of some of their modern McCafe design touches. That and the creepy Ronald statue sitting on the bench facing the door...
Come for the Mcnuggets, stay for the frightening clown statue.

Never would I have imagined that I would give McDonald's such a low rating. But fear not, it's just this location that I can't deal with. You may think that the food tastes the same at all locations but that is not the case. The chicken McNuggets here are about a week old and stale. Gross.
The ONE time I convince my husband to eat Mcdonald's for dinner, they don't bring their A-game. WTF.
We accidentally stumbled into this place after spending too much time in a bar around the corner. The 24 hour sign had mislead us and what seemed to be a curse (they were closed), turned out to be a blessing.
So anyway, as I said, we wanted to go in, and some dude outside told us that they were currently not serving but cleaning. My friend tries to go in (He really wanted that chicken sandwhich!), but the place is deserted. So we stand outside for another minute and another dude comes out saying they are currently taking care of a rat problem.
Ewwww!!!!

This McDonald's is known as the "fancy McDonalds" because they have piano player, a doorman, granite table tops, and table service.
When I walked through the door my monocle fell out of my eye. I thought "ohh my word, this place is even too fancy for me!"
Unfortunately, I was woefully under dressed, but they luckily had a tuxedo for me to borrow. As I proceeded up the gracious stair case I admired the imported granite tables, I was impressed to hear piano player playing the moonlight sonata and shit. We were seated quickly in the "orchid room". This room was so fancy it made the Palace of Versailles look like a mere Buckingham Palace.
We choose the prix fixe menu consisting of four courses. The first course consisted of a breaded and fried chicken cutlets with a crisp batter. This was paired with a fine vintage Sprite. The second course consisted of frites presented artfully in red cardboard tube with a thick tomato like sauce. The main entree was an enormous sandwich consisting of two patties, pickles, lettuce, and a three layer bun. The "special sauce" included in this sandwich danced over my palate like a ballet. The somellier was helpful throughout this meal. He recommended Coca Cola to complement the complex flavors of our entree. The final course was a desert pastry. It was a crisp and cinnamon apple flavour pastry not unlike those found in the finest bakeries of Paris. Over all this restaurant was the definition of dining excellence, and sophistication.
The above is pure fiction. This in all actuality is McDonalds that looks fancy. Its just a McDonalds with the same lousy food you can get anywhere else.

Lake Havasu City, AZ

I chilled out in this mcdonald's after an afternoon hike from the london Bridge and through the Rotary Park. This was the right time to try strawberry lemonade.
On a hot day the new strawberry lemonade is a tasty and inexpensive drink to requench your thirst. It is a refreshing alternative to cola or gatoraide. Some people may complain that it is kind of powdery.
As far as this Mcdonald's, it is a square floor plan with an indoor playground. The interior is modern. Personally, I think that this Mcdonald's should have been given an England theme to compliment the London Bridge. It would be a Mcdonald's to remember.
Being so close to the London Bridge this would still be a convenient Mcdonald's to hang out in. However the deal is that you cannot hang out here more than thirty minutes while dining here. That is the clear impression that I got from all the signs posted throughout the dining area.
Regardless of the interior and posted time limits on hanging out here, I have no qualms over this Mcdonald's.
Dont expect this McDonalds to have anything that a traditional McDonalds has. Just go on and get your 50 piece and be on your merry way.
The people are a mix of 900 year old people and 12 year old kids and everything in between.

Berkeley, CA

Look, I'm a SoCal girl. I like my food fast, greasy, and full of bad sh!t that'll kill me. I love chains. Yeah, I'll eat a salad, but I'm not going to go to McDonalds for it.
One Star off because I don't buy into all this organic, healthy sh!t. I can cook that at home. If I wanted an amazing meal, I'd go to a real restaurant.
But no. I just want some damn chicken nuggets, and you know what Berkeley?
2nd one off because I shouldn't need to 1) Get accosted by the crack heads that live here and the degenerates that work here
2) have an army of people escort me because I'm too afraid of the guy who likes to snatch people and drag them out.
3rd star off: Yeah, Its happened when I've come here. And no one does anything.
Goddamn it berkeley, f.u.c.k all your stupid crackhead bums.
4th star off for allowing people to live here! Seriously people, you're cool with it? Is this why there's no chains? I'm more scared of this McDonalds than the shadiest, rapiest, druggiest corners of LA.
BUT!
They have CHICKEN NUGGETS! That's what gets a star.
