McDonald's? 4 stars? I know.....I wouldn't normally review a fast-food chain BUT it is a guilty pleasure of mine and this McDonald's is like none other. Seriously. I missed the talking trash can that the first Yelper mentioned (will definitely have to go back for that) but this is seriously the nicest McDonald's I've ever seen. I went there on Valentine's Day for a McFlurry (because that's how my classy friends and I roll) and was amazed with the decor. It kind of reminded me of my college cafeteria (in a good way) with cozy booths and semi funky furniture. The place was super clean and a lot bigger than it looks when you walk in. To top it off their prices are a little lower than some other McDonald's in Manhattan (I'm kind of embarrassed that I even know that). If you're in the area I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

If I could give no stars I would. I started not to eat here after seeing their pending grade from the health dept. Now with the new scoring system, I find myself not eating at places without an A. The lines were very long at this location, and the tourist don't make things any better. While sitting down to eat I saw a huge ROACH crawling up the wall next to me. It looked mutated with missing legs and extra antennas. I took a few pictures and a video of the crawler to show the manager/corporate. I completely lost my appetite. I waited a few minutes to speak with management but the lines were too long, and I did not want to miss my play. I eat from mcdonalds/burger king/wendys 3-5 times a year. After this I don't think I will eat fast food for a very VERY long time. :(

I was enjoying my sandwich on the late Tuesday night around 4:30am of October 25th, when I witnessed the worst case of customer service and conflict resolution by restaurant staff I have seen in my entire life. The course of events: A couple went into the bathroom together, the manager screamed at the security guy to get them out of there, he then knocked while simultaneously opening the door as if to catch them in some act to find the guy taking a pee and then CONTINUED to hold the door wide open while yelling at them to get out. The staff then refused to acknowledge the serious intrusion of privacy, and then called three cop cars to deal with the couple instead offer a simple apology. I know that the 5am staff on a Tuesday can't be too happy about their work schedule, but if a restaurant is unable to hire reasonable staff that respect the customers and maintain McDonalds well recognized brand, they should not be open at night at all. I like McDonald's food and it is very convenient in the city, but I am so disgusted by the explosive anger and disrespect shown by McDonalds staff I don't think care to ever eat there again.

Worst. McDonald's. Ever. I don't look to McD's for exceptional food, but I do turn to the golden arches when I want speedy service, a selection of standard items and some hot, salty fries. At this craptastic location you will get: ... service so slow you might get lucky and have two people drop out of line while you wait. Or you might get to watch one of four employees munch on fries while staring listlessly at the growing line of customers. ... inventory so mismanaged they were out of both Sweet Tea and bbq sauce... IN HARLEM. ... equipment so broken only one register was working, and it broke while I was paying. ... employees who will argue with you that the basics of math are just WRONG. ($20 - $6.74 = $13 according to them, the manager even broke out a calculator to show me. Awkward.) ... patrons who get into fights while waiting on line, and staff that will do nothing about it. ... a facility so dirty that there were multiple sauce tops stuck to the window at the register, that no staff person had taken the second to peel off. All in all, if I only had two letters to describe this McD's, they would be EW.

What can I say? Sometimes you're just in the mood for some McDonalds chicken nuggets and fries, or the excellent sausage biscuit if you can wake yourself up early enough in the morning. One great advantage to this location is that it's open 24 hours, so it makes a perfect stop at the end of a night of partying. Do be warned that there can actually be a decently long line on weekends, beginning around 2:00 AM to 4:00 AM, more a function of sloooow service though, although I'm sure it doesn't make sense to keep the restaurant fully staffed just to meet the 2:00 AM drunk rush. Inside, you'll find you're typical 80's / 90's pastel pink and turquoise MCDonald's with a weird fusion of some of their modern McCafe design touches. That and the creepy Ronald statue sitting on the bench facing the door... Come for the Mcnuggets, stay for the frightening clown statue.

Never would I have imagined that I would give McDonald's such a low rating. But fear not, it's just this location that I can't deal with. You may think that the food tastes the same at all locations but that is not the case. The chicken McNuggets here are about a week old and stale. Gross.
The ONE time I convince my husband to eat Mcdonald's for dinner, they don't bring their A-game. WTF.

We accidentally stumbled into this place after spending too much time in a bar around the corner. The 24 hour sign had mislead us and what seemed to be a curse (they were closed), turned out to be a blessing.
So anyway, as I said, we wanted to go in, and some dude outside told us that they were currently not serving but cleaning. My friend tries to go in (He really wanted that chicken sandwhich!), but the place is deserted. So we stand outside for another minute and another dude comes out saying they are currently taking care of a rat problem.
Ewwww!!!!

An 8 minute wait for 2 Egg McMuffins w/ Cheese at 8:25am on a Weekday is unacceptable! Given that this is the Financial District, everything must be presented on demand. Sure, we can accept a 4 minute wait time but 8 is pushing it.
1 extra star for serving 2 Egg McMuffins w/ Cheese for just $3.00 ($3.26 after tax).
Of course... The following dialog with an employee at this establishment makes me question whether or not to return...
Chun: May I have some Ketchup Packets *Hands over 2 Ketchup Packets) Employee: Here You Go Chun: May I have a few more, possibly 3? Employee: 1 Ketchup Packet for 1 Sandwich *Looks in astonishment as this debate is about KETCHUP Chun: Nevermind, Thanks...
Thanks to you, I now have a bottle of Low Sodium Heinz Ketchup stationed in my cubicle. Everyone knows you can never have enough Ketchup!
Notes on McDonald's: - 2 Egg McMuffins w/ Cheese for $3.00 - Always Crowded! Be prepared to wait

Ac not working very dirty

The lunch crunch wasn't bad at all. Very short wait for Shamrock shake

They deliver.
No, not nutritionally, but they'll actually schlepp your order to buildings nearby. Where else have you seen that?
If you decide to host a wedding here, there's 200 seats to be had, and the food's cheap. Your guests might me confused, but whatever. If Uncle Frank decides he wants chicken instead of fish, their kitchen will crank out his order fast no matter the time of day.

This McDonald's is known as the "fancy McDonalds" because they have piano player, a doorman, granite table tops, and table service. When I walked through the door my monocle fell out of my eye. I thought "ohh my word, this place is even too fancy for me!" Unfortunately, I was woefully under dressed, but they luckily had a tuxedo for me to borrow. As I proceeded up the gracious stair case I admired the imported granite tables, I was impressed to hear piano player playing the moonlight sonata and shit. We were seated quickly in the "orchid room". This room was so fancy it made the Palace of Versailles look like a mere Buckingham Palace. We choose the prix fixe menu consisting of four courses. The first course consisted of a breaded and fried chicken cutlets with a crisp batter. This was paired with a fine vintage Sprite. The second course consisted of frites presented artfully in red cardboard tube with a thick tomato like sauce. The main entree was an enormous sandwich consisting of two patties, pickles, lettuce, and a three layer bun. The "special sauce" included in this sandwich danced over my palate like a ballet. The somellier was helpful throughout this meal. He recommended Coca Cola to complement the complex flavors of our entree. The final course was a desert pastry. It was a crisp and cinnamon apple flavour pastry not unlike those found in the finest bakeries of Paris. Over all this restaurant was the definition of dining excellence, and sophistication. The above is pure fiction. This in all actuality is McDonalds that looks fancy. Its just a McDonalds with the same lousy food you can get anywhere else.

This McD location was the most generous of them all when it came down to handing out the free McCafe iced Mocha during the Summer. I recall people charging at the employees and walking away with two hands full. Needless to say I was one of those TYVM. BTW, I said no whipped cream, spammit! Fine, I'll add a star for that kickass promotion.

Let me see..5 McNuggets for $1 or 20 for over $5. Hrmm..tough call. Now why would they think you can't do math, especially when you are by Wall St? *boggle*
Their fish fillet here is awful - it's nuked and tastes like rubber afterwards. I hear their Angus burger is decent though.

Do people really write reviews of McDonalds'? Well, this one has a piano so on occasion, this is a live music venue. The food is generally served minutes after ordered which must mean it is all very fresh due to the fact that inventory moves so quickly. The staff here wear brets - clearly influenced by the French as evidenced by their French Fries. I often notice that McDonald's employees from other branches come here to order lunch so clearly, this location is superior to others.

Like the Crispy Chicken fingers, sometimes in a salad. There is no more doorman. There used to be 'table' service where someone would set a place for you. I can't remember the last time I had someone do that. Do love their iced coffee. But the piano is still there. And some evenings I will stop by to sip some cofffee and listen. But in the evening the upstairs is closed. A few homeless will meander in so hold your breath and watch your fries.

This McDonald's doesn't like when you and your friend escape the cold & sneak upstairs at 5am to enjoy your hot falafel in peace.

But they don't mind if you and your 17, 18 y.o. buddies come sauntering up to the counter with your open bottles of beer.

Hmmm...

I have gone through here multiple times. When I was dining in, the girl taking our order almost got into a fist fight with a girl she knew that came in. She didn't act professional at all. I have had a lot of problems going through the drive-thru. Sometimes the food is great, but other times it is very try and you can tell it has been sitting out too long. Almost every time I get a drink, the cup is not full and there is soda spilled all over the cup. They don't even bother to clean off the cup or fill it to the top. The soda line is usually approximately 1.5 inches from the top, which is unacceptable in my opinion. Also, when I go through the drive-thru I am always missing something whether it be fries, a straw, napkins, or utensils. Also, most of the time their ice cream machine is down, so it's very hard to order ice cream there. I definitely would not recommend this McDonalds to anybody.

FILTHY BATHROOMS
RUDE WORKERS

I was told to use the restroom on the second floor, when I went up stairs a woman mopping the floor (American) who had her thug boyfriend sitting there yelled "get up you ain't sittin up here" (I wasn't sitting) and I replied "I'm waiting for the restroom" and she responds "Don't be sittin up here" at that point I just ignored her. Upon entering the restroom puddles of urine all over the floor, feces, graffiti on the wall, I finally respond "Try a little harder to clean the restroom" of course she started cursing and yelling. These are the type of people McDonald's franchises hire, the lowest of the low. I'm sure plenty of college kids could do those jobs but they hire the lowest of the low. Sad.
